The Friends of the Prospect Public Library FALL CONCERT!!!!!

Enjoy a fall evening of music! The Friends of the Prospect Public Library, Inc. is sponsoring a concert on Saturday, October 7th at the Prospect Community Center. The concert begins at 7:00 PM.

BOOM (Band of Old Men) is entertaining for the evening. BOOM has enjoyed success this summer with concerts at various local establishments.

Prospect resident Larry Rifkin, Jr., who plays drums and does some vocals, joins guitar and vocalist Haig Papasian, guitar and vocalist Vern Coles, and bass guitar and vocalist George Meyers, in entertaining with music from the 60s and 70s.

According to Rifkin, "we play music from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, David Bowie and many more!"

Tickets are $5.00 each and can be picked up at Prospect Library. Dancing is permitted. A limited number of tables are available -- there are no reservations in advance. There is also plenty of individual seating. No refreshments may be brought into the event, but there will be snacks available for purchase.

Friends of the Prospect Public Library, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that raises funds for the Prospect Library. The Friends sponsors quite a few children's programs during the year and funds the Museum Pass programs. The group also assists the library in various projects throughout the year. Also, in October, the Friends will be at the Pumpkin Harvest Festival and will be distributing children's books!
