Give the Gift of Books!
The Friends of the Guilford Free Library will ring in the season with their annual Holiday Sale on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7. The sale offers carefully selected choices for readers of all ages. Younger readers can choose from holiday-themed books, hardcover picture books and classics. Adults will find offerings of fiction and nonfiction, cookbooks, and books on history, art, nature, sports and gardening. Specialty items include DVDs, CDs and holiday vinyl as well as stocking stuffers for all ages-- small books, puzzles and games. Everything is in pristine condition and priced to make your pocketbook rejoice.
The first 25 early- bird customers will receive a special holiday treat from the 4 & Twenty Blackbirds Bakeshop.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Concert Singers of Adams School, directed by Matthew Sanchez, will share seasonal favorites (Friday afternoon, around 2pm) and local musicians Mimi Dudley and Amanda Merrill will perform on Saturday, December 7 at 10am. Once again, the wonderful artwork by preschoolers from the Guilford Center for Children will delight everyone who enters the lobby!
Proceeds from the sale directly support the Library—to help purchase books and equipment and to sponsor programs and staff development. And don’t forget to bring your own shopping bag.
